503B Outsourcing Facility

An FDA-registered facility that can produce compounded medications in larger quantities without patient-specific prescriptions. 503B facilities must comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and report adverse events to the FDA. They offer a higher level of quality assurance than traditional 503A pharmacies.
