Evidence Note
Originally isolated from human gastric juice, BPC-157 has extensive preclinical data showing protective and healing effects on the GI tract, including ulcer healing, intestinal anastomosis repair, and anti-inflammatory effects in colitis models. Both oral and injectable routes are studied. Human clinical trials are limited but underway.
