Bacteriostatic Water

Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, used to reconstitute lyophilized peptides. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth, allowing the reconstituted solution to be used for multiple doses over up to 28 days. It should not be confused with sterile water for injection, which contains no preservative.
